• lousy distribution in europe (just ranting away...)

I ordered a RR-3 CS in november last year (12/11)and fully paid up for it the same month(22/11), and ever since I've been bugging my dealer about where the hell my guitar is (the other guitarist in my band oredered a plain black two weeks earlier and know as much as me, nothing)... I know it's not the dealer he explained the whole situation for as far as he got answers from the distribution (the black one sould arrive in two weeks, the cs wasn't answered specifically...).
the wo weeks are pas once again and still no jacksons! the dealer's put 'em in a backordermail along with some fenders and gretsch... still no answer (gotta call again today)

I ordered my ke-3 in 2002 from the same dealer and had it within two weeks time.... I just REALLY hope it's not going to be like this forever with jackson now, I don't like to cough up 820€ (rr-3cs + emg 81 installed + gurtlocks) to wait endlessly wheter it'll arrive or not

Hi. I'm in the UK and I have had an RR-3 on order since the end of December, so I know how you feel. My dealer can't seem to get any kind of timescale from the distributers, so I just gotta play the waiting game it seems.

Don't rely only on your dealer, call Jackson yourself. They have a customer service department for a reason. They should be able to tell you what's going on. Maybe not specifically with your order, but with the delays overall. I think the number's on the website.

my dealer went to Düsseldorf in Germany today. Apparantly all deliveries have to come from there (all orders from FMIC that is ) so I should be able to get some news tomorrow....

The only thing that pisses me off is that I paid 820€ and after three months of bugging my dealer (who's annoyed by the situation himself) I still know nothing about when I'm gonna get my Jackson.
If they said June, it was June... but the way it is now it's like I pay up the dough and get the feeling I don't even get a guitar without bugging them 'till they can't stand the sound of my name... I only want to play Jackson, and this situation made a big ding on my overal appreciation of it all

Fender Germany sucks as a distributor and always has, period. I wouldn´t normally openly dis any company, particularly not the parent Company of my beloved Jacksons. But...

I cursed them multiple times weekly when I still had my retail shop (closed about 5 years ago), usually for just this type of stuff. It took them 13 months just to be able to get replacement parts for Jacksons again after the acquisition. It´s fun having a Soloist restoration get slowed down 12 months because the original parts are still manufactured but nobody knows where to get them. Especially when the ones in question are manufactured not too far away by Schaller :-/

That said, most Distributors over here seem to have their heads "where they shouldn´t be". It´s gone so far that I refuse to support the german Distributors anymore and buy EVERYTHING stateside, either online or during vacations. Usually ends up saving me cash as well, which is definitely a plus

IMO the last decent Euro-Dist for J/C was No. 1, the guys from Zitrone seemed to care as well. But my local dealer hasn´t exactly been praising the service either....

Well thats nothing.

I waited 8 months for a KV2 over here in the UK and it got shipped over from the USA and had many a problem getting here.

If you overseas guys would stop buying guitars from dealers over there, naming the shitty distribution as the reason, it might light a fire under a few asses.

On a side note, WTF does GmbH stand for? I see it after the names of German businesses and have no idea what it is. I assume it's like an Inc or LLC.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">GmBH = Gesellschaft mit Begrennter Haftung = Corporation

The "AG" (= AktienGesellschaft) is also a corporation. The Difference between a GmBH and an AG is that the AG is traded on the Stock Market(s) (Aktie = Stock, in the Dow Jones connotation )

so the LLC (Limited Liability Corporation IIRC) would be closest to the GmBh

Re: lousy distribution in europe (just ranting away...)

Called my dealer and the explanation still doesn't make sense to me...

my friend's black rhoads was in the pipeline to be delivered soon (heard that before, didn't make that deadline either) and for my CS rr-3 still no significant answer could be given. since I called my dealer before he went to Düsseldorf and said that if he didn't get an answer he might try for an rr-7, that option could lead somewhere. apparently there is a dealer somewhere that still had one of those around and within a week I would hear more of it.

main problem seems to be the reorganisation by FIMC, and a so thorough one that even their European departement doesn't know jack sh!t about where their own products are

the only option open to me is if the rr-7 doesn't come through is either ask back the money or cough up some more for an rr-5 (while I'm still flat broke for buying the rr-3 )

It really ticks me off that I had to bug my dealer for three months in a row to even know what's happening with my order... I had found more info here than my dealer could provide me with, and even way before he could provide me with it...

Well, at least a big thnx and cheers to the JCF (once again )

7string rhoads, might be the incorrect name though

I ordered a hardshell case for my DKMGT on Dec. 27th, 2003 at No.1 in Hamburg.

I still haven't got any information on when it might arrive... and the guys at No.1 do care, you can trust me. They have called Fender several times but just can't get any info. And they are quite pissed about it themselves.
(FYI, this store got me my DKMGT and my KVX10 within a week; and the KVX10 was the last one available in the European warehouse!)

One of the guys from No.1 is going to the Frankfurt Musikmesse, he has promised to ask Jackson directly about the situation.
