I have to say, the cherryburst on the catalog is something as representative. i saw dave mustaine on a 1995 concert using one of these chb (he modified it replacing the kahler with a floyd) and the cherryburst was far from the one on the catalog, obviously I can say that seeing it on my hands I can appreciate the cherryburst,much that seeing it on the picture..

That's another "used to have" for me. The only problem I had was with the gold hardware. It's not that I didn't like the gold, it just never seemed quite right on that finish. Still a beauty, though.
Is that silver one a custom shop job? It's niiiiice.

I noticed that the finish will look odd sometimes in pictures. Mine looked stunning in person but it came out like this in many pics:

i did not like the gold finish on the bridge, so i professionally repainted it in brass and black, as shown.
the gold finish gave to the guitar some of a toy aspect,i think. and i felt the guitar should be as much as possible equal to the catalog representation.
