DR3 is poplar but DR7 is ?

Which wood is a DR7 body made out of ? Thanks in advance.

The DR7, DR7T and DX7 should all be alder. Alder is similar in tone to poplar anyway.

The DR3 was poplar as you mentioned, but they were also made of mahogany for the TSB version (Tobacco Sunburst).

Thanks, the 2 different woods explains the major tonality difference between the two.
