• another SLSMG trans black

I agree with Jeremy, Matt is the man. I`ve had my new axe for a couple of days now and can`t thank Mattsmusiccenter enough for shipping this one to Norway ( which should explain all my misspelling ).

Most of what Jeremy wrote I agree with, so I won`t repeat it all.
The building quality seems very good, the flametop isn`t of those deeeeep ones, but anyway it`s cool that the headstock also has a flametop.

The EMGHZ sounded a little too bright, but they had a very clear sound and I think they are okay. Guess I change them sometime though.

I`m kind of a disapointed when it comes to the sustain, but it could be my expectations were way to high.
And I have to change the volum pot, because it`s making all this scracthing sounds, irritating.

The ebony and the little markers, and the look of the EMG pick ups makes it look very "clean", but what really makes the guitar stand out is the binding.

I`ll take some pictures with a camera a friend of mine has, but maybe I could mail them to someone who would put them out here `cause I guess I`ll screw up that...

Pics Please!! Also, my SLSMG had the polished ebony board but after some playing it wears down to "normal".

But I guess your volum pot is allright then, it`s allways something wrong isn`t it...

Here's the pictures. I resized them a bit. You need more light, Kruneh

Beautiful SLSMG! And the Rhoads Pro - sweet!

Thanks buddy, it turned out way better then what I`d expected anyway.
Next time I use more light and clean up all those fingerprints on the guitar first.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">cool axe dude ! now flick your switch to your neck pickup and do a lead with her , then you'll really see where those emg hz's shine ... they do for me anyway . but yeah at 1 st play they do seem pretty bright hey ? I had to make some adjustments to my tone . I am playing the same pickups you have through my dxmg . but yours should sound a lot smoother . anyway nice axe dude ! //Steve

Sorry for the 'more light' comment. I was watching them on another computer earlier, in very bright sunlight, so they looked very dark. They're not.

Interesting, the strap holder on your SLSMG is on the back of the guitar as opposed to the side. Did you drill a new hole or something? Or was it like that originally? I was just asking since the other pictures I've seen of SLSMG all came with strap holders monted on the side...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It`s originally on the side, I changed it, I always do. Prefer not have that 90 degree angle on the strap. Of course that`s just my opinion, but I can`t understand why it`s not like that originally.
The first screw actually went sraight off and are still in the guitar, but the second screw is so close to the first one that the strap holder covers it. I don`t think I have to say that this wasn`t any funny situation, but lucky enough it ended good.

Hey I just noticed something on your SLSMG that I have noticed on mine. Look at the third picture where you can clearly see the fretboard join onto the body. Do you see that small 1cm mark there? Right at the end just before the neck pickup. I have exactly the same thing.

I wonder how they managed to do that?

I`m sorry, but I don`t understand.
Unfortunately I don`t have the guitar here right now so I can`t check it out either.
But I`m curious
