I was actually thinking of the serial# too.
Mine is 032041. They may not be brother`s (or sister`s), but I do think they are part of a nice little family [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I attended a lecture last year, by a japanese manga artist. He spent some time in the beginning to explain japanese philosophy and craftmanship - and he told us this little tale of a japanese potter:

This potter was a skilled craftsman, who one day got an order for a set of expensive, elaborate tea cups. He made the cups, and they were the pinnacle of his handiwork - the best and most beautiful cups he ever made. The only problem was - he couldn't sign them (as per the specification of the customer). So what he did, was to introduce a slight imperfection to them - he put a faint fingerprint on each cup, thus making them a true artwork, and a symbol of his pride as a craftsman and an artist.

Now, to say that the workers at the japanese Jackson plant are doing things like this may be to stretch it a bit, but it's an interesting thought. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Thanks for the tip kruneh, I actually played one at my local GC yesterday and was quite pleased that 1) they had one and 2) how sweet it is.

Only problem is I would have to move a bit of my gear to get it at their price right now [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

Think I'll wait and see if I can find a used/evilBay one or talk with Mattsmusic.

If you look closely you may notice that it even goes between the end of the fretboard and the neck pickup ring.

Hi guys just wanted some info, ive got a USA KV2T as my main axe and wanted a backup for emergencies. I was thinking about getting an SLSMG for that job. I was wondering if the SLSMG's body was big enough to fit an active pickup set as i will probably replace the HZ's with 85's. Thanks [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

As far as I can understand there is room for this. It`s just the "wings" of the body that is very slim on this guitar, imagine an extreme archtop... There shouldn`t be any problems at all to place a battery inside though.

I am very happy with mine. Its incredible quality. I have 2 USA jacksons and equally as good as those. The only problem I have is with the HZ pickups, but thats an easy problem to fix.
