  • Question for Inazone

Hey Man, I heard from someone that you own a JSX-94 Concept? I wrote this in the General discussion: I just bought a Jackson JSX-94 Concept for $200 in a Pawn shop (only 600 made)and that bolt-on rascal plays like a dream! Stays in tune even though the Floyd Trem is worn out. Has the original pickups and they sound damn good. Does ANYONE else have this Japanese Model? What colors did they come in? Mine is black. I'll have photos soon if anyone cares to see it.

Oh yeah, and why do Charvel cases smell like piss?

So InaZone, how do you like this guitar if you have one? Were there really only 600 made?

    Re: Question for Inazone

Sorry, my Concepts are the JDX-94 model, with the string-thru fixed bridge. As far as colors go, I've seen Concepts in black, blue and red. I've never heard an exact number, but there were only a few hundred Concepts made, and only for one year. They were phased into the Performer line, except for the JDX which was discontinued.

Not sure about the JSX, but the JDX neck is the most comfortable I've ever played, period. If you paid $200 including case, you got a great deal!

I have two. At the moment, Jimosity has one of them, doing a refinish on it. Here is the other, highly modded...

        - gold hardware (replaced black)
        - custom gold pearl inlays/side dots (replaced white plastic)
        - Seymour Duncan JB humbucker (replaced stock Jackson)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thats a damn nice axe man, as far as I know my jsx is all factory. When I found it in the pawn shop it looked like it had been to the depths of hell and back twice. I had to use compressed air and q-tips to clean all the dirt around the pickups and after waxing the finish and cleaning the fretboard, I now have a nice looking guitar that kicks ass! I'm getting the photos soon, I have a film camera so gotta get em processed.

              Re: Question for Inazone

One of the mysteries of Jacksons -- why some models have the scalloped neck joint and others don't. The JDX does not.
