Re: Jackson Stars?

NewC, when you ordered yours, did you do it by phone or internet, and how the hell does one go about doing that? I called ikebe-gakki and nobody spoke any English so I got nowhere... Appreciate any advice... BTW, love the NASL!

Re: Jackson Stars?

For my first NASL - the Cherry Sunburst - I asked a guy in Tokyo whom I had sold a Pedulla bass to for a very nice price about a year earlier if he would help, and he agreed.

For the black one, I've been sworn to secrecy

There's a link somewhere on Ikebe-Gakki about international and/or phone ordering, but it's been a while since I've seen it

There are a few Japanese JCFers in Japan, or who have family/friends in Japan, you could try asking one of them for help.

Re: Jackson Stars?

Yeah if you e-mail that guy he can tell you if what you want is available for you to order, and he'll give you instructions to make a bank transfer.
Your bank might charge a fee for the transfer but I'm not entirely sure how much or how it works.

If Ishibashi can get you what you want, their prices are just as good or better than Ikebe (Ishibashi seems to offer lower prices on custom orders, from all the times I've had similar quotes run from each) but Ikebe may or may not have better deals on stocked models.

Really, so how much do you think they would charge to make this guitar for me: http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/shopping_20.p...r=1&page_cnt=48

The RR-J2SP, what I may change if ishibashi can custom make it for me is change the pickup to an 81 and the tremolo to an original floyd rose, also where's the page where I can custom order the guitar from ishibashi?

I'm not sure about the RR-J2, but seriously, trust me, if you just want to order one of the standard models from Jackson Stars, go w/ Ishibashi. E-mail them (in english), and they'll tell you what's in stock. They can do credit card transactions.

You'd pay way less for the J2SP from Ikebe and putting the 81 and OFR in yourself than going with a Custom order.
