I've got a guitar with Evos in it - ehhh. They're ok - they're very "open", but not very toneful IMO. They're tonally flat (or is that what they mean by "balanced"?)

in my soloist, the evo sounds very good. not flat or something.
in my san dimas reissues i have the tonezone which is although a very good pu.
