how many frets on an sl4 soloist???

i was just wondering how many frets the soloist sl4 had on it? was it 22 or 24??? i was told mine is an sl4 and it has 24 frets??? all the other sl4's ive seen have 22 wtf??? Also mine has the strat type 3 way switch not the regular 3 way toggle all the other sl4's ive seen have. just wonderin [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

The SL4 has 22 frets. In fact, I believe it's the ONLY 22 fret, neck-through, Floyded guitar Jackson has ever offered as a regular production model - and I believe it was only available for 1 year. For some reason, SL4s do not enjoy high resale value right now. Don't ask me why. I have 2 and love 'em both.

It also has a slide switch, not a toggle.

Do you have the H/S/S pickup configuration? If so, then you have its sibling, the SL3, which does have 24 frets. The SL4 has the H/H config. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

How old is the guitar? Did you buy it new?
Whats the opointments like inlays, binding, and are there really 24 frets? there should be two dots at the last fret if there are. Otherwise 22 frets would be an SL4. If it's got dots and says professional on the headstock it could be a soliost std. Alot like a sl4 but made in the mid 90's. A little more info may help to determine if it's an SL4 or something else.
