Two DK2's on the way!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with Kevin @ EG - ordered my son's Black DK2S w/SD Distortion in the bridge and my Crimson Swirl DK2 also with SD pup. Final cost was much less than I originally figured and he was extremely patient throughout the process considering I was calling from halfway around the world. Kevin, I totally agree with fellow JCFers when I say you are the man!! Now the fun part begins... waiting! [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] They're supposed to arrive a couple days before I get home so my son will see them first... lucky lil' shit! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] N-E-Hoo, just felt the need to share. Hope y'all don't mind!!

Hey bro...you and your son will have to make a trek down to Cherry Point when you get back to SJAFB.

A get-together sounds awesome! Would be great to meet a couple fellow JCFers and check out your gear. Not sure how much intelligent "shop talk" I'll be able to provide, tho. Since I quit playin' 15 years ago (I sucked then) I've discovered that I suck even more by just messin' around with my son's current guitar, [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] and I realize that I'll basically be learning again right along with him. I've only been able to teach him the basics but he's done pretty well so far. I remember a lil' bit of what I used to play, but haven't tried to play anything all the way through. I was kinda shocked to discover just how much I'd forgotten and how my fingers just didn't want to work right or hold the chords properly. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] I just wish I hadn't waited so long to pick it up again. All these years I've missed my gear that I had ('86 Kramer Striker, Peavey Renown 400 w/Peavey 4x12), but I love my wife and she was worth the sacrifice (insert "awwwwws" here) [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] . I'm stoked about starting again and REALLY stoked about finally getting a Jackson, my dream guitar.

It would definitely be a blast though. I have an SL1 and DK2 to contribute but LPC again has enough for 10 people there too [img]graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img] .

Thanx Creepy! I'm not sure, but were those your pics I saw posted of the CS outside? If so, they were what turned me on to that finish.
