You mean those 'Duncan-Designed' ones that I intend to pull out of those bridge positions? Sure; I won't have any use for them after I have replaced them in the 2 of my guitars I have in mind... It may be a bit before I scrounge up the cash to buy the new ones, though; bills have made me their BEEOTCH, as of late! Duncan Designed aren't made by Duncan?

I'll buy them anyway, maybe just the humbucker.
How much would you like me to pay for them? Let's say app. for now.

Duncan Designed are made by Duncan, but they aren't as good as the real USA Duncans (which is why they're less expensive), so calling them "Duncans" is a bit misleading.

I'd avoid buying new from a store if you can - you can usually grab Distortions from Ebay for $45 + shipping in great shape - I got all of mine (5 or 6 so far) from there and they've all been perfect - maybe a little wear here and there but sonically they're all perfect.

Screamin Demons still go kinda high on Ebay, though.

As for the Distortion's bottom end and tightness, you have to remember a Distortion-class pickup was originally designed to drive preamps that did not have massive gain built-in like a Recto or XXX, so if you use it with a full-on-shred-death-metal amp, it's gonna get shrill and sloppy because it's adding gain to gain.

Hey Newc, what about the modeling amps? I use a 300W Line6 Vetta I HD (w/ the v2.03 upgrade, which basically makes it a Vetta II)...Damn thing's like owning 30 amps in one though; how will a high-end modeling amp such as this one affect (or be affected by) those SD Distortion class pickups?

(PS: Immortal, I will get back with you shortly on that approx., ok?)

Duncan Distortions don't have to be F-spacecd to sound good - the one in my DK2 is regular spaced and it rocks.

As for how it sounds with a POD et al, it sounds great, but you just have to remember not to crank the gain all the way when using it.
