• Replage Bridge in KE3??

Could i put a ORIGINAL floyd rose on my KE3 ??

now it has a CRAPPY simil schaller bridbe...

but i see the schaller is shorter than the floyd rose.I mean that string lock screws would be too long in case i use a floyd rose.(the schaller is identical to mine)

UI would like to use the ORIGINAL floyd...anybody replaced the bridge??

are routings in KE3 and KE2 (wich has an original floyd rose) different??

In this case i must choose a schaller one :-(

I put an OFR in a DK-2 and the longer rear screws fit just fine.
Besides, it's an import - sand away the excess wood behind the trem to make room for a quality unit like the OFR and be happy

I have done this with an OFRII with the shorter locking bolts(the German made one that is double locking, not the crappy single locking version).

Pic of it here:

The OFRII is the Schaller with a different name. For a time in the very early 90's you could buy the OFR, the OFRII and the Floyd Low Pro. Great trems, all of them.

Heh, I've still got a first version of the FRII that's single-locking!

The trems are all on Fenders homepage.

Some companies still use the Schaller trems, which basically are the same as the FR II, but the companies can use their own logo's on them(think Charvel, Hamer, Washburn etc).
