I love this freakin thing!!!

Un---FREAKIN--REAL!!!

Why the HELL don't they turn the SL3 into this???

This guitar is a killer, no other word to describe it, it is so slick, so smooth.. action is so low and no buzz.

This guitar CRUSHES my DK1 It's even faster than my Model6

Jackson, I'll take 3 more of THESE!!!

The Soloist Pro is definitely fantastic. I have one that I bought from a tech a couple years ago. It needed a refinish and a new bridge pickup, so I sent it to GMW. Worth every dime, I think! I put a Duncan Full Shred humbucker in it, rewired the controls to tone/tone/volume as a matter of personal preference, and had it painted in "Black Pearl" finish.

Yes, the Jackson logo is MOP.

Re: Soloist Pro Kicks ASS!!!! DAMMM!!!!

The reason they don't turn the SL3 back into the Soloist Pro is because then everyone would buy one of those rather than a more expensive USA Soloist. Which is exactly why they cheapened down the import Soloist into what is now the SL3 in the first place...

I love the old professional guitars too! Doesnt the soloist have an MOP Jackson logo on the headstock?

Re: Soloist Pro Kicks ASS!!!! DAMMM!!!!

I've owned 3 USA Soloists ('85 San Dimas Custom, 1990 Coral Sea, and a mid-90's Archtop) and I like the neck on my current SL Pro the best - the others just felt wierd. Well, actually the Archtop's neck was great, it was that damn Tunamagic bridge and "strings-out-of-nowhere" design that annoyed me I need a Stopbar or a tremolo - them disappearing stringsthrough jobbies don't look right

Wow, that looks sweet!

I've never seen a Soloist Pro like THAT one before.

Completely different heel area than my 1990.

And scalloped horns, reverse sharks and a TOM????

What year is it?

Oh, and Ron, I'll post some pics up tomorrow.

I just thought you'd all be sick of black guitars by now.

@hartfielder:
very nice flametop on yours!
on mine you can´t see it so good, because the finish is to dark.
you want to have this one?
(no it´s not for sale)

it has the same neckjoint like yours.

@2loud2old:
maybe you don´t know it, but the archtop soloist has a set-neck with 24.75" scalelength and not a neck-thru construction with 25.5".

here is a pic of my two soloist.

yes, you can find one, but they are very rare.
so watch out and be quick if you see one!
