I apologize too...it was never my intention to break any rules. All I wanted to do was get an idea of what my guitar might be worth, and I greatly appreciate those who gave me some good advice about what I should do if I decided to part with it. Furthermore, I would like to make it clear that, as of now, this guitar is <u>not</u> for sale.

With that said...based on what is in some of the other posts, it's definitely not a prototype - it's just a regular old production model. I'm a little upset that the guy who sold it to me lied, but there's nothing that can be done except to boycott the place. In any event, I want to say thanks to everyone that helped me track down the truth about my guitar!

Someone mentioned that the neck is fatter than a traditional Jackson...are there any other Jackson models that have a similar neck? (I'd love to find another guitar that plays the same as this one only with a different pickup configuration.)

Not sure if any other models feature a similar neck profile. You could always do a custom shop, but that is pricey. GMW may be able to duplicate the neck in a custom order.

Patch I think you are in the clear here just asking a value its the rest of us are at fault for asking the no no questions.Very cool to have a D.A. model. I think D.A.is a great guitar player have for years and someday I'll find one of those guitars.

I know custom shops can get quite pricey, but considering how much I like the feel of this guitar. Could someone just measure the crap out of my guitar and build a replica?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">GMW guitar works (without logo's) ... you can also have Jackson build it to your specs without a problem

I don't know if there would be any way to dig up the info, but there was an Aldrich model on eBay about 2-3 months ago. I can't remember if it sold or what the starting bid/BIN was - sorry.

Is there some sort of way to actually dig through recent, but closed, auctions on eBay?

Too long ago to dig up from eBay now but, it from memory it was listed at a $1,300 starting bid and did not sell. A japanese store was the seller. It had a graphic and was a USA model. The headstock also had real sawtooth cutouts on it (not painted).
