PS-3 (?) Price

Our drummer happens to own a RR model, I think it's a PS-3..Not sure..Anyway, it may be for sale. And I MAY want it..(cheap enough of course)..anyhow...the body is in EXCELLENT condition, no dings or chips anywhere, it's a string-through model, it's deep red with black hardware and pickguard...
My question is, what is a fair price. I don't want to screw him, but I don't want to overpay either. Any ideas...?? Thanks
