• getting sick and tired of waiting

well, you prolly read my rants about the ridiculous long waits for my rr-3... last week my dealer went to Düsseldorf himself because he thought it'd been more than long enough, even more so since they had confirmed earlier that the rr-3 was there...

he talked to the the logistic salesmanager who confirmed the guitar being there, but still they won't release it! he got sent off with the fine words 'if you think you can locate it, it's over there somewhere between those 1800 pallets, good luck'

So after friggin' eight months of waiting I can say I bought a Jackson but I'm playing grmbl Ibeenhads (borrowed from my dealer, free of charge) because they deliver jack sh!t...

a lot of stress, and even more delay on the bandprogress because you don't have decent gear to get along...

If you want to buy a Jackson in the EU, even an import, beware and think about what you're getting yourself in for!

thought I'd share the update with you guys

That sucks
Additionally, those 1800 pallets came with a set of papers that identifies the contents of each pallet (bill of lading), and those sheets will tell you which pallet # has your guitar.
All you have to do is find the pallet #.

Not much

I used to work in a warehouse, and I had to read those bills of lading to find pallets quickly

I'm just getting sick of it guys, paid for the axe in november last year... now eight fucking months later there's still no delivery. My friend (the other guitarist in the band) got a plain black rr-3 delivered in april. he ordered it a week before me. My dealer told me it was sheer luck and aone chance in a million they actually delivered that one

FMIC is dropping the ball big time in EU!

Svart, that's a sad story. I hope it will turn out ok in the end. BUT, isn't there some kind of clause in the contract you made with your dealer, defining a maximum wait/delay you have to accept? I wish there is, because then you should inform the dealer that if he doesn't turn up with the guitar within the next few days, you would want your money back. That'll get his ass in motion and prevent them from fuckin' you up in RED TAPE. From reading your story it seems that no one really cares. If they DID care, they would go to them 1800 pallets and find your guitar. How hard can it be? I think they are screwin' you over big time.

Re: getting sick and tired of waiting

I know the problem dude.. I live in the netherlands and when I wanted to order a RR5 the guys at the shop basically told me/warned me about the long long waiting period.. and I hate waiting so I went with a different axe..

anyway, I hope you get your RR soon..

Re: getting sick and tired of waiting

yeah epica, know the pain. but the prob is if I want a jackson (and I only want jackson) I end up with the same importer (FMIC) and they're dropping the ball bigtime IMO

But I don't think it's my dealer since I go there for nine years now and never had a problem with them before, rather on the contrary

I could borrow a guitar from them without them charging me, right from out the store. anyone I wanted (too bad they didn't have any jacksons )

Re: getting sick and tired of waiting

Fuck that. There are WAY too many other brands of guitar that are every bit as good as Jackson - and dare I say it here? some better - that you won't have to put up with that crap for.
Eight months?? For a production guitar? No friggen way. Buy something else.

Isn't it the shipping company that is dropping the ball here? How is it FMIC? Sorry I'm just not understanding this... Sucks you have had to wait this long!!!

Re: getting sick and tired of waiting

Agreed - FMIC and Jackson aren't the problem - the problem is the logistics salesmanager (distributor). Also, the problem is not enough bodies to sort 1800 pallets, and then there's the actual contents of the 1800 pallets; that's 1800 pallets' worth of other customers who are probably in the same boat you are - wanting their items and tired of waiting. I suggest heading to the distributor yourself with the dealer to sort through the pallets. Go through the bill of lading first and look for the stock number of your guitar, which should be 290-3000-(Color#).
Whatever color it is, the last number is that number:
Solid Colors:
(503) Black, (BLK),
(530) Deep Candy Blue, (DCB),
Transparent Colors:
(585) Transparent Black, (TBK),
(586) Transparent Blue, (TB),
(590) Transparent Red, (TR),
Graphics Colors:
(526) Crimson Swirl, (CS)
(533) Eerie Dess Swirl, (EDS)

Re: getting sick and tired of waiting

as far as my dealer told me, FMIC has cut loose every importer in europe since the buyout last year. now they are setting up a main distributioncomplex in Düsseldorf for all the FMIC products to be delivered in europe, from which they themselves will import and deliver to the dealers... it just pisses me off that they simply refuse to deliver the goods to a dealer, neglecting the basic principle of sales (you buy, they deliver to keep a happy customer that might buy again) just to impress with some bigass warehouse where at the present moment no one seems to know what they're doing...

buying up old stocks from former importers, moving some brands internally at the same time simply doesn't give me an impression of decent management...
