Fusion Pro..... XL or HH?

hello- Is there a relative quality difference between a Jackson Fusion XL Pro and an HH Pro? This is the general setup....

XL - Shark Fins, H/S/S pickups, Schaller Floyd
HH - Offset dots, HH, Jackson Floyd

Is it only hardware/cosmetic differences or is one generally better?

i think I saw a pic of the original catalog that stated the HH is mahogony body but, i don't know quality wise which is better.

Are talking about the two that are on ebay now.If so I would pick the XL only because it has the better Floyd on it.I have never delt with the one on the HH but it is step down from the XL trem.If you are looking for a HH setup you can always through a lil 59 or cool/hot rail in it.

HH has a mahogany body, which is pretty damn cool. Still, the better Floyd on the XL is an important factor. Tough choice.

It was a great guitar, that was even better with a Schaller retrofitted! The beatiful ash body made up for the lack of sharks IMO! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I can't tell what the finish on the XL really looks like, but I'm guessing it's very similar to the HH. Anyone know?

I just took the block out of the Schaller Floyd on the Charvel Fusion I recently bought and set it up to float. I never had to make anything but minor adjustments to a Floyd before and this was a total pain in the but! I'll post something about this experience if I get around to it. In the end though this does seem to be a very nice, smooth working trem. I'll just have to see how the auctions go. Thanks for the responses.

I like the HH because of the mahogany body....has a great sound...

H-H pros are very nice pieces of wood to begin with,the necks are awesome very high quality rosewood boards.All in all great guitars and they are short scale.The trem on mine is a flawless JT-580 lp.

So what would you value an XL at?

I was watching those auctions. Can't believe that guy let them go so cheap. If I were selling I would not have tried to dump them all at the same time - you are competing against yourself.

Thanks! It shipped yesterday so I should have it tommorrow or Thursday.
I'll post pics when I get it. I am thinking of replacing the pickups, since I have a Charvel Fusion with similar pickups. I'm thinking of putting a Bill Lawrence L500XL in the bridge. Any recomendations on the neck and middle pickups?
