Paddok, Did you notice anything new and improved about the trem? I saw in a previous post somewhere that FMIC would be upgrading these.

If it is anything like the DK2LE neck, it will be a medium/thin neck, thicker than the previous DK2`s, much nicer than the older thinner ones to me anyway. Jack.

I want to get a DK2M (EDS would be sweet but I might go cheap and go for a solid finish), but I, too, shall have to wait until the end of the summer or so and hope that all of my funding is squared away by then...

Ron and I talked about it briefly. I don't know imports well enough to say though.

The guitar FELT like a USA made guitar though. Really solid. But after reading the last few posts, it may just have been a USA proto. It had real seymours but a jackson trem. wierd for a USA.

it will cost me £345 for a dk2ff including case (new). would it be worth it or waiting for the dk2m? dk2m rrp in £sterling?

Personally, I'd wait for the DK2M. Looks killer and comes with better pickups. I guess Jackson got wind that the first thing folks swap on them was the pups. Just wish they'd offer it with a SD Distortion. They musta got a great deal on JBs cuz that's what they install on every frikkin' thing. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I am! I'm getting a crimson swirl finish and in the future a white and inferno red. I am very excited right now! Can't wait for them to be available. Come to think about it.......NAMM happened just in time for tax refund checks to be commin my way!

at the msrrp, the dk2m is expensive. it works out a third more expensive than the previous dk2. imagine i bought that dk2ff thats reserved for me, then upgraded the pickups. would it not work out the same price? obviously the fretboard wouldn't be maple, but surely the trem is the same on both models?

I'll be honest on this... I am disappointed in the "upgraded" tremolos. I was hoping for a Schaller-style tremolo or at the very least, something with the square baseplate. Instead the tremolos are now made by Gotoh or in a style very much like them.
