Do you know where in Sweden I can find fretboard-stain?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Unfortunately I have no idea. I looked briefly at GMF, but couldn't find anything there.

The pots on my guitar are very noisy and they scratch alot, If you know what I mean? What kind of pots should I get? Does that depend on pickupchoice?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes, if you go with active EMGs, you get new pots supplied with the pickups. Those are 25kOhm pots, and will only work with active EMGs. If you go with Duncan or DiMarzio, you can generally use your existing pots.

There is supposedly some sort of pot cleaner in spray bottles that you can get as well (to get rid of scratchiness), but I have never used it, and I'm not sure where to find it. =/

If you decide to get new pots, make sure to get the same Ohm values as those already in your guitar. I would guess that you have two 500kOhm logarithmic (a.k.a. "audio taper") pots in your guitar, but I can't be sure. Anyway - new good quality ones would probably make a big difference, like these ones for instance:

Oh yeah, "Bondo" is some type of "kaross-spackel" (swedish). I think Bondo is a particular product name, and I don't think it is available over here(?), but there should be lots of similar products available.

      Thanks again for the info.

I should be able to find the fretboard stain somewhere..

The pots aren't that expencive so i might just buy new ones.

I know a guy who does various body-work for cars I'll ask him about the "kaross-spackel"

Re: Show me your modded guitar.

Two of my three JDX-94 Concepts. Each started out with black finish, black hardware, white dot inlays and Jackson pickups. The guitar on the left had green abalone inlays installed (split block "fangs" at the octaves), the bridge pickup upgraded to a DiMarzio Steve's Special, locking Sperzel tuners, and a Dan Lawrence green snakeskin finish...the first he's ever done running the length of the guitar!

The guitar on the right still has the factory finish, but the black hardware was replaced with gold, the bridge humbucker replaced with a Duncan JB, and gold mother-of-pearl inlays. On this one, even the side dots were replaced with gold MOP.

The second picture is another Concept that was refinished using urban camo fabric, by a former JCFer. It also has black hardware and locking Sperzels, and a white Duncan Invader at the bridge. I added some military-themed decals.

Re: Show me your modded guitar.

I've got a Kelly Pro modded with a custom switch and pickups. Designed of the old JPM1 I used to have and folishly sold. It has the same pickups and the same 3 way mini switch (dual sound, off, phase). Pickups are a Air Norton and Steve's Special. Great pickups.

For some reason I look like I'm asleep in the picture, anyways as you can see the mini switch is located in between the 3way and the volume knob. Of the guitars I currently have in my posession this one is still my favorite. Thats why I have the same mini switch to be installed on the custom I have on order.

I've always loved the J90Cs, and this was my first time to try one in the neck position. As a neck hum it sounded great! Nice warmth and clarity without getting muddy. With the switch I could split it and get some very nice stratty tones also. This was probably the most versatile axe I've ever owned as far as tonal options. I will build another! (but the next one will be a bolt-on dinky)

Gold and black works so well together! I have to do something like that to my guitar.

Re: Show me your modded guitar.

this used to be a Gibson 335.

But as you can see, it has had a Gotoh Floyd added. Pickups are both Dimarzio, a Super 2 & HS3, with added 3-way toggle.
