buying an older import and swapping the pickups vs. buying a 2006 version outright. which would work out cheaper?

    Re: New Vs. Old

Of course the second one, less time loss, less effort, less shipping charges, less paypal fees, no pick-up swapping, no soldering, and you won't have to sell the duncan designed pups etc.

      Re: New Vs. Old

I love my old Jackson/Charvels. All hail from the 1990 era, with bound ebony and MOP inlays (Charvel is Rosewood). But then again, I have a newer DK2 and love that as well.

Your big risk with buying used is playwear. Will it need work? a level? a re-fret? labor=more $$$.
