KVX10 serial numbers and manufacture location

Alright guys,
Seen a stupidly cheap KVX10 and Im just wondering what the Indian/Japanese serial numbers are. Or what the way to tell the difference is. I read it somewhere but I cant remember.
Isnt it if it has a 5xxxx its Indian, and if its Jxxxxxx its Jap?...

I dunno, but my KVX10 (bought brand new this past summer) is 9728XXX. No letters. Pretty sure it's Japanese.

I thought all the KVX10 models were Japanese.

japanese = 9xxxxxxx
indian = 10xxxxxxx

Nope, the early X series were Indian. Pre 2002.
