• I just got my Fusion Pro (lots of pics inside)

I just received my Fusion Pro yesterday. Got it from german ebay and it took only five days for it to travel from Germany to Finland.
I originally bid on it thinking it's a Dinky XL with modded electronics, so I was pretty amazed when I was told it's actually a Fusion Pro.

Anyway, onto the pics, starting with the usual striptease (sorry if there are too many pics, I think I just got a little excited with the camera)

    I just love this sight.

The case is pretty beat up but it does it's job just nicely.

Notice the trem arm loose in the case. Luckily it didn't do any damage to the finish.

I took some daylight pics today. The sunburst flame finish is a bitch to photograph. Give it a little too much exposure and it looks like crap...

The back has two larger dings and the spring cavity plate is missing.

The headstock tip has gotten a beating too.

It plays really smoothly, I like the shorter scale a lot. The electronics seem a bit messed up, having at least one loose wire on the JE-1500 that I could see. I'll have to check the wiring.

Overall I'm really happy with my purchase, this guitar is some serious bang for the buck.

I really like the color on that. I'm not sure I've seen a fusion pro that color before.

enough wear and tear so you can play it like a mad man and not have to worry about scratching it, I have blue burst flame one that really is pristine and I have to be careful with it more so than some of my more "used guitars", wonder why they swiched the mini toggle and the volume knob?

          Congrats man!
Nice pics, the cherry sunburst finish comes out nicely I think. Looks alot like my Soloist Archtop Pro which is Cherry Sunburst as well.

Damn you are really snagging all your Jackson Pros from the german bay, right?
If you continue at that rate someday there won't be any of them left in Germany at all.

at first i thought that was a very good amber sunburst. i also saw the pdf for the dk2s and it looked great. but when i caught sight of a dx10dfs at my local retailer, it looked very dull.

              Nice Score!

I fashioned a trem cavity plate for a used Charvel that I bought, from a piece of red (to match the finish) acrylic board.

It took me about 30 minutes to cut the board, file the corners down and to drill the screw holes in it.

Best of all, it only cost me about 200yen ($1.75 or so)

Thank you everyone, it really is a nice playing axe. The neck is super comfortable even though it is lacquered. I can't wait to get to my maintenance tools so I can clean it up. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time, especially the fingerboard, gooey as hell.
I don't know about the minitoggle-volume swap, maybe the volume or the toggle got in the way of one of the previous owners or something like that.

Fifth_Horseman, heh, well I gotta keep spicing up the second hand market here in Finland. All we have here are just some low end imports.
Not that I'm about to sell this baby anytime soon.

QuantumRider, Yeah it shouldn't be a tought job. I'll have to see what I'll do with it. Probably nothing since the plate would have to go anyway if/when I install a tremol-no in it.

Oh yeah, what can you guys tell me about the serial number? Any idea what year was it made in? I'm quessing 1990?

Stunning guitar, congrats!!! My first Jackson was a Fusion HH, this looks way nicer with the ebony board and sharkies!

Thanks guys. The more I play it the more I love it. The neck is one of the smoothest lacquered necks I've played so far.

I cleaned up the guitar today and the bridge pickup turned out to be a Duncan Screaming Demon. Pretty odd that it doesn't have the Seymor Duncan text in the front of the pickup. It has the logo on the backside and a sticker with SH-12J on it though.

there has been some discussion here on these fusion pros that pop up here from time to time that start with 90, mine does and so did another one a few months ago, all were like yours early pros, most likely early 90

                            Not odd.

                            1. Logo'd pickups are a fairly recent marketing gimmic (mid 90's). Since humbuckers came out in 1957, there is about 40 years worth of non-logo'd pickups out there.

                            2. SH-12J is the correct sticker. J indicates the person who wound the pickup - in this case MJ (don't remember her full name).

Thanks for clearing that up DonP. I'm not too familiar with these things.

The JE-1500 is dead at the moment. I hope it has something to do with the loose wire. I can't seem to pinpoint the location where it came off. Would anyone happen to know where I could find a wiring schematic for the JE-1500? I tried looking at the JC electronics manual in the Tech section, but the page the schematic is on isn't scanned apparently...
