Any help much appreciated

not a brilliant pic, looks trans-green but could've been a black ke-3 repainted in that colour. yes, it's a good deal (translated to sterling, that's £186. a brand new black ke-3 would set me back £349). if you get a case with it, even better. assuming it's in good condition, i'd grab it now if i were you, case or no case, but ask him to make sure it's packaged to avoid damage, or pick it up from him and bring a case with you.

It's local to me and has no case so if I buy it, I'll pick it up. So you reckon it's a KE-3? Thanks for your help. Actually, I just checked up. A KE-3 is NZ$1299 new here. Are they made in India or Japan?

Just found they're made in Japan. Cool.

No, it's not repainted. It is a KE-3 with one of those gravure/photo flame tops.

i can't get it in trans-/flame-green in my country. but then the wrmg used to be in trans-green/-blue but all i could get was a poor version of trans-black (2005 era). for the colour and price i suggest get it now. i thought that kelly was repainted because the uk adverts show that only the black ke-3 had reversed sharkies, the trans/graphic ke-3's have standard sharkies. all had chrome hardware instead of black. so yes, grab that ke-3 while you still can.

That's an older, mid to late '90s KE3. They made the KE3s with both reverse and standard sharkfins, and black and chrome hardware. And those gravure tops were made in green, blue and purple, from what I remember.

i'd like to get my wrmg refinished in trans green but there aren't any decent mod shops here.

Well, to be honest, the seller wasn't exactly the picture of reliability (his feedback rating was way below 80%). I guess it could have gone ok because he was in my city, but who knows...thanks for the help anyway.
