    IMO a great bridge combo for these is a JBJr in the slot by the bridge and a neck-position Hot Rails in the second bridge slot, and a Jackson Special 5-way switch wired to have either pickup on full, both on full, and both split.

    I had that in my old Warbird (see Joel's pic) and loved it. Tell me again why I sold it?

      I agree with Newc. I had the JB Jr with a Cool rails same style setup and when tuned to E flat or Detuned to drop D also a half step down it absolutely ripped. I switched to the Dimebucker when it became my drop A tuned guitar (A, E, A, D, G, B, like a detuned 7 without the high E) It just needed something with a little more umph. As for the neck pickup I tried a few different ones with normal tunings but I think that the stock pickup sounded as good as any.

      Newc, I think you sold it because of a momentary lapse of sanity. No one in their right mind would sell that beauty. LOL
      Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

          LOL, I actually thought it was because he really isn't in his right mind. But then again, who is? Not me.

                The Skull Warrior now belongs to a private party member not a member of this forum, sorry guys if I come across it again here in Miami I'll be sure to pass it on here for 1 of you guys to buy.
