Perhaps I laughed too soon considering the USA Duncans and maple board with ebony fins.
Typical street price for the DK2 has been around $450, so $150 more for the Duncans and maple board ain't that bad, really.

That DK2M is sweet!! I would like to see it with just 1 hum or even a tunamatic bridge option, but it is still sweet!! The RR3 is crying out for binding on the neck and headstock though, but still nice. Jack.Comment

Oh yeah I almost forgot-- it appears the trem is now with a hardened steel baseplate, which is an upgrade from... was it aluminum before?
That's well worth paying a little more for.
ewright thanks for that link.. I didn't realize MF had pics of 2006 DK2s up! Can't wait to see the inferno red with maple! I was kind of expecting/hoping for a bright red, but I think this color looks sweet!Comment

Is it a new trem? All the photos I've seen seem to still show a JT580.
