I had one of those. It kicked ass!!! The original pups were cool (a USA J50N in the neck, I can't remember what was in the bridge, but it was an import pup from what I remember), but I changed them out to a pair of Duncan Invaders because I was looking for more low end... it sounded amazing and wasn't muddy!
BTW, they're poplar bodies with bolt-on maple necks, and I thought the JT580LP trem was great.

Great guitar, I have one in purple. I swapped the pickups for Duncans too. (Distortion bridge, Jazz neck)
