It's a Les Paul scale. It's got a shorter neck, so there's less tension on the strings. It can be more comfortable. I had a Fusion SX and it was an "easy to play" guitar.

Yup. Stretches are a little easier on the short scale. You can look for Fusions (bolt-on, both Jackson and Charvel), Jackson Archtop Pro (neck-through) and Charvel 750XL (neck-through with non-recessed trem). The early 90's Jackson Warrior Pro also had the short scale.
I've found that the only thing I don't like about the short scale is the softer string tension, and that I had to use a little thicker strings with it.
