• Jackson Dinky Fusion Pro Help

Just did a BIN on this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jackson-Dinky-...QQcmdZViewItem
and the serial number is 922xxx. Am I right in thinking this is a 1999 and not a 1992 model as advertised. Have I been screwed?
Cheers

I don't know much about the early serials but that sure is not a 1999. After some point in 1996 import serials (japanese ones) started to have "96" at the beginnning. And serials starting with 97-98 followed them

Hello- I've got a Jackson Professional Fusion XL that has a 920xxx serial number that I've dated through catalogs to be most likely a 1992 model. The link in your post isn't working for me so I can't see your guitar. I've got the catalog scans of the pages with the Fusions from both '92 and '93. If your interested in seeing these email me and I'll try to send them to you.

After hunting round the net this looks like a Fusion Custom as it has a twin rail bridge PUP. Does this help with identifying it?

It's definately not a 99.
I'd say you made a pretty good purchase.
The bridge PUP looks like a Bill Lawrence.

Like what kind of info?

Probably a basswood body, started life as a Charvel Fusion then got a Jackson logo when the Charvel line was dropped, originally sold for probably $600+ like similar models of the time, it's white, has one knob, 24 frets, H-S-S, locking trem, etc etc

Thank's. From all the searching I've done it seems to be a Fusion Custom, and the brige PUP an old pasive EMG81. That info was from Harmony Central reviews and a French web site. He's shipping it today so I should get it Tuesday or Wednesday hopefully.

I bought a fusion before, and it had bladed single hums in the single coil spots, and if I recall correctly, a bladed humbucker.

I would think maybe a late 91.Maybe first use of the JT-580.Odd that it does not have the offset dots and binding. I tend to think early production because of that.I think newsc hit the nail on the head.
