Nice score, I was watching that one too.
I won't go that high on an import though so I passed.
I'm assuming that these are just as nice as the Model 6's
that they basically replaced. Looks like a nice one
congrats , please, give us a full review when you get it,
I'm starting to see a bit more of these on ebay in the last couple of months and I'm always tempted to grab one
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

What sent me over the top was

        1. pearl, I simply love that color

        2. the ebony board. rosewood is cool and all, but my eerie sl-1 with that ebony board is awesome!

hey, i paid a little too much perhaps, but you only live once!

i will give a full report on it when it arrives. i sent the payment today so i should see it next week.

That's not too much, those are just as good as any USA guitar.

I have a '91 RR Pro it is the best playing Jackson I've touched

Probably so, but you did save it from the clutches of carrguitar. If you ever get tired of it, I'm sure you could sell it for the "bro" price LOL! (to me of course LOL!).

edit: Just thought of something - this axe is similar to an ESP Mirage Custom (from the late 80's) except it has better inlays. They are both made in Japan yet the Mirage goes for way more. Judging by this, you got a better axe at a way better price.

Actually the Charvel 650XL replaced the Model 6, and that price is fairly well in line when you figure a JCFer got $670 for a Model 6 a few weeks ago. The porices are going up and our "bro world" is a little out of touch with the current market.

But I, too, am a cheapskate who won't bite unless it's a low price.

I have to say, the seller is one of the most straight up people I've ever dealt with. He called me now to verify payment had arrived and it'd be shipped Monday(I don't want it to sit all weekend on the truck if it's sent tomorrow) with a tracking number.

Truly a terrific guy! I'm looking forward to receiving it. Of course I'll post pics and a report when pure pearl touches down

I bought a Jackson Kelly Pro about a year ago with a one inch size chunk taken out of the back of the large wing, can't see it from the front, which is cool.
Got it for $285. with case at a local music store.
The serial # is J401145, does that mean it's a`94 model?
I have no idea how to date them, actually didn't even know what it was until a friend told me that it was a MIJ Jackson with the same quaility as a USA Jackson. He told me that they stopped making them at this high a quaility because they were out selling the USA models at the time!
Great guitar!, would love to find a Rhodes model for that cheap!

I have nothing negative to report about this fine guitar!

The pearl is beautiful, it only has a small nick or two here and there. It plays EXACTLY like my SL-1...was in PERFECT tune when it arrived(in the carefully packed box). It's my best ebay transaction so far!

Definitely needs a little clean up of the frets and a string change....that'll get done tonight! I am digging neck through guitars more and more! They rock! I'll post pics shortly.

                            Busy day today!

It's in not-so-good cosmetic condition, but maybe I'll snap some pics of my gear this weekend and post them. It used to be ferrari red, but sadly someone painted dark metallic green over it.
