I haven't played a USA Soloist that I'd trade my '90 Pro for. I think the Japanese were really showing off in '90

That is the one sitting next to me now . I miss the blue one I had, which I bought from someone and sold on here, but the white one I just grabbed from Model 88 is cleaning up that GAS real nice. And the bridge pickup doesn't sound bad either!

The one that I bought from Alan is every bit as good as my SL1. The neck feels almost the same except the heel where it is a tad bulkier. The pro is also quite a bit heavier than the SL1.

Here are a couple pics I snapped this morning...

Man, that looks purdy. Your camera does a great job of capturing those colors!

Thanks man...natural lighting is the key. If only the inlays would come out better, they are nicely figured.

I love those pro soloists. I need a thicker neck so thats why I traded mine. Now I´m looking for a SL-1.

The neck on my new one feels a tad thicker than the neck on my mahogany SL2, for what it is worth.

That Blue is outstanding; she looks brand new! If I can any decent sunlight tomorrow I'll try and get some decent picks of mine. It doesn't look anywhere near that nice, though. Mine is sort of charcoal metalic.

Thanks alot guys. I was pleasantly suprised with the color when I recieved the guitar. The pictures made it look like it was a lighter blue but, when I opened the case it I was like, WOW.

I love that color...I'm actually thinking of refinishing one of my project guitars in that color.

'been playing the hell out of this guitar lately along with my san dimas strats.

however, the stock pickups are NOT pleasing to my ears. is it a direct swap if i wanted to install a "jb" in the rear? i think this one has the battery powered pups a.k.a. "active" ?

                              thanks!

IIRC The pickup is not active but there is an onboard midboost (JE-1200).

I had a JB-equipped Rhoads PRO last year and it ROCKED!
