  • Identify this...

    Hi guys

Anyone able to tell me what this is, and where/when it was manufactured. I'm guessing late 90s and certainly NOT Japan.

    Any ideas?

    JS series?? Thanks in advance...

The headstock gives it away. SDK (Super Dinky), not sure which version though.

        Looks like an SDK-2: http://www.blocket.se/vi/7509308.htm?ca=5_s

The 12th fret dots do indicate japanese manufacture, because prior to 2000-something, neither the korean- or indian-made ones had those right. But you'd have to know the serial to know for sure. A serial starting with 9 would mean its japanese.

IIRC, the SDK model was introduced around 93 or 94 maybe... I know they were out when I was still selling guitars. Hated 'em then, still hate 'em now.
JS series are easy to spot because of the PU selector location.
It's moved forward closer to the volume knob.

SDK2. these were in the 1996 Jackson catalog and was an import from either Korea or Japan.
