Kevin Bond vs RR5?? Or a Christian Old Wolbers? Decisions!

I'm in the mood for another axe to go with my custom Legra one..

Dont have the cash for a custom build again, and want something re-salable (just incase).

I've owned a RR5 before (in natural) and liked it. From what i remember the neck was nice.. the bad points were the dodgy gold hardware and the metal pickguard kept coming loose and felt cheap.

I REALLY like the whole sharkfin thing and am toying with a kevin bonds sig...

1 pickup is fine as i generally play rhythm and short leads.. plus my other guitar is a shred beast

Its gonna be used for C or D tuning.

Does the Kevin Bond have a similar feel\neck to the RR5?


I'm in the UK so will be buying blind and using shops 30day 'buyers remorse' polices

I'm torn between the Kevin Bonds and the Fear Factory sig... i think the lack of fret markers would cripple my playing on the Fear Factory one though..

OR i might go for a Dean Dime From Hell :P

KB. It's pretty killer: the unique fretboard, pickup & bridge makes it cooler than the now run-of-the-mill RR5.

The lack of neck pickup may be a minus, depending on what you like, I guess.

I doubt the lack of fret markers on the Wolbers DK6 would present much of a problem, as it still has side dots. I have two Jacksons with no fretboard inlays, and it hasn't been an issue.

my rr5 has the nicest neck i´ve tried so far.. and i´ve tried many.. but the looks of the bond sig slays.. so for me, it's a matter of style..

My choice would be the KBRR. The RR5 looks cheesy without binding, and that cheap ass gold finish hardware looks awful IMO. That's just me and my 2 cents though.
