older version of a dx10d?

from a distance it looks like a dx10d - reversed headstock, reversed sharkies, chrome hardware, 24 frets, but:

- the 2 humbuckers have no writing on them, no bezels.
- toggle switch instead of 3-way blade
- neck join not slanted/angled
- lower horn is scalloped

i couldn't turn it around to note the serial or take pix, they're an arsy sort these people.

Yep. DR3. A pawn shop has one for sale for £850. That's around 1600USD.

£850?! this thing's going for £199 as a 2nd hand guitar! should i get it, and try selling it on ebay for £500?

Yep yep...Pawn shops here are weird. They had a AANJ RG570 for 575 pounds... Go figure... They know nothing about guitars.

Sounds similar to "The Money Shop". but lack of knowledge isn't the only factor. Nottingham wasn't voted Crime Capital of the UK for nothing.
