  • What should I do? (about a Jackson RR3)

    Hi all,
I have the chance to pick up a new Jackson RR3 (I'm pretty sure that's the exact model name) in black that is basically brand new. It has the "sharkfin" inlays that I've always wanted on a Jackson. The only problem is, is that it is a floor model at a local guitar store near me. The longer "wing" has the usual chips on the edge, but I figured being black, they would be easy to touch up. There are other small parts missing from it that I already have spare at home (one vol. knob, locking nut block and screw.) Anyway, I could get this out the door for a little under $300.00. I guess what I am trying to ask is, is this a good deal????
Thanks in advance, and take care.

$300 is still a real good deal for a near new RR3. Does it have Seymour Duncan pickups or Duncan Designed ones?

Thanks for the input. It has 2 Duncan Designed pickups. I believe they are the Detonators. You know, the ones with the very large pole pieces.

It's still a "scratch & dent" with missing pieces. Sounds like a GC wall special. They don't know you have the parts, so use that info to get the price down.

That's EXACTLY the guitar I talking about. I'll take a look at it again this week (if it's still there.) And, No I don't believe there is a case. I really think the price is good. Isn't the regular price for this guitar around $500-$600??

I think RacerX nailed this one.

Go in and offer $250 cash. Then be prepaired to walk out.

The black should buff in pretty easy. Good luck.
