I Used My SLSMG Tonight For Rehearsal And Came To This Conclusion...
SLSMG models are just plain unbelievable guitars... I am IN LOVE with mine! So let this be the official SLSMG appreciation thread. Post pics of yours in here!
the new ones have 85/81 combo, the older ones have the passive's.
Im impressed by the passives in mine, not bad at all!
+1 but, it also depends on the mojo of the wood. I've also played a couple SLSMG's that didn't impress me much tonewise but, more did impress. Chances are if you own one it's because it's a winner!
Anyone ever tried replacing the tuners on these? Fucking impossible. Schallers are too short, Sperzels are too short, the Planet Waves ones were just barely too short for the nut to catch the thread, but I eventually got them to catch after bashing the fuck out of the back of them with a rubber mallet.
