One more thing! This is good, too.

    - Since you're already doing delrin binding and inlay, get creative with color! Red sharkfins or crosses on an bound ebony fretboard would look awesome. Or green. Or blue on maple. Run with it.

Dear Jackson, it looks like you forgot how to layout the controls correctly. Here, let me refresh your memory on how it's done on the Strat shape, leaving plenty of free space below the pups:

[quote=Inazone]My only complaint is the same it has always been: lose the pearloid inlays and go back to real MOP! There are so many guitars with plastic-covered fretboards that it's a rare thing to see quality *tasteful* inlays made from natural shell.

        I agree 100% with that..

i think i'll just go and repeat some of it =P

            more maple fretboard guitars
a reverse headstock option on the dinky models
bring back the 80's colors (radioactive green, fluorescent yellow, fire red, just to name some)

bring some pickup combinations back, like the humbucker/slanted single of the fusion deluxe/predator (this combined with a 22 fret neck would be ideal.. for me =/ ) with a single volume control (which metal player uses the tone one anyway hehe)

this is mainly what i'd like to see

the toxic swirl paintjob sounds amazing too!!

More reverse headstocks (this goes for USA Selects too).

I looked at an SL3 in the past and I passed on it because of the rosewood fretboard, plastic inlays, and (at that time) licensed floyd. Ended up ordering a USA select. I guess the problem if you made the Sl3's with ebony and MOP you would cannibalize the USA select market.

More maple fretboards/black sharkies binding combos
                  DK2M string thru(preferably 1 hum and 24 3/4 scale)
                  1 Hum DK2M(preferably in the Fusion 24 3/4 scale)
Put OFR`s on the Pro series
                  The Hotrod Series would rock!!
                  Real MOP Sharkies
Neck Thru Pro with preferably 1 Hum

I'd like to see some one hum guitars with sharkfins. I also think there's a market for dk2 necks, have you looked at certain auction site lately? Also, dare I say it, Kahlers.

The single most important thing I can think of: binding on the SL3.

I'd be interested in the sales figures for USA selects in Europe... because I haven't seen one of these in any store in the last four years, and ordering one takes way too long.

It probably wouldn't matter if Jackson reintroduced the Pro Professionals in Europe, at least you might find one in a store then, and see what Jackson is capable of. USA Jacksons are more of a myth here, and most people judge the whole brand by what they can find in the stores... i.e. models that don't even have binding or MOP.

I have never seen a USA Jackson 'in the flesh' in a music store ever. Over the last few years I've seen maybe a handful advertised on classifieds online, of which almost all were imported directly by the original owner. If you want a USA Jackson, you'll pretty much have to order one and hope you will like it, as you have zero chance of trying one out.

                            About inlays:
I don't mind plastic inlays on the imports at all, but the fake MOP is really lifeless and ugly. I'd rather see solid color delrin inlays, like the DK2M has. How about an RR5M (with maple board, black binding and black sharkies)? That would get my pants wet.

First off, I want to say that Jackson is doing a great job with the import lines. The DK2M plus real Duncans and EMGs in the Pro line were really good moves. My suggestions:
                                1. A KV in the Pro series (this has been mentioned by a few people)
                                2. More bridge pickup options (the JB is a fine pup but I think a Distortion or Custom would be more appropriate in a Jackson)
                                3. Neck binding on all the Pro series (especially the RR5!)
                                4. Sharkies on the Kevin Bond RR (or something other than the pentagram)
                                5. Considering the success of the DK2M, offer the maple board, black sharks/binding on other models (I really like Sunbane's RR5M idea)

These are not knocks, just suggestions to make a great brand even better!

Edit - just thought of something else, color-matched headstock on DK2M instead of natural.
