just what I thought when reading his post .
With all the requests that we have price will probably go up, but there's few that will really improve selling of the MIJ models and shouldn't change the price: MOP inlays, binding on PRO models, 24 fret RRs and more models with DK2M neck..

I agree... we already got lots of Dinky models with lots of different options - inlays, pickups, bridge types, archtops, and now even a maple fretboard - yet there is a fundamental vacuum like no other in the Pro series:

I guess that it's possible that the DK2m is being used to gauge sales before applying the peoduction changes to the rest of the line.

Perhaps NAMM winter 07 will debut the others?

Single hum strat body with a maple/maple bolt on neck and an OFR. Forward or reverse headstock. No binding just dots. and of course the single hum would be a JB lol j/k a custom Custom. Im startin to like this pup better the JB of old. An archtop soloist would be great in both HH and HSS of course with OFR or the Floyd 2 which is the JT590 without the jackson logo on it. (aka schaller trem per harris teller) also more maple boards with binding and sharkies. falshy paint is definately and eye catcher in a store full of run of the mill fender colors and les paul bursts. Give us a WOW to look hit us in the face when we walk into a store and glance at the guitar wall. Maybe not the bright colors others have mentioned but maybe highly sparkeld finishes like the old Kelly Pro Green sparkle Metallic. I brought my Kelly into work today to sell it and i got tons of gasps and wow's from the people i work with and also some of the customers as well as another store i went to to see what theyd give me. Anyway my point is Sparkle finishes rock when done right. Also more neckthru imports and an SLSMG with a floyd.

These have all probably been mentions, but in my mind:

More Maple Necks, but with black painted headstock

More Reverse Headstocks (also see above!)

Instead of having a load of Dinky variations, why not make 2 (1 x HSS, 1 x HH) and offer all types of neck on it (Maple, Reverse Headstock etc). That way we can get a dealer to order exactly what we want, rather than having to make do.

Dont get too wound up about pickups (groan!). Most people change them anyway. Im not too sure how many people get excited by EMGs vs Duncans outside of this forum...

I agree that would be a great way to stucture it and maybe add a single H option
