  • Japanese and Korean PS3T specs difference?

I know that you can recognize a japanese from a korean ps3t by looking at the dots on the 12th fret or at the serial number, but I would like to know what is the difference between them concerning:

    1. Wood: body, fingerboard, neck

    2. hardware; pickups

I tried to look up the specs of the korean ps3t but they are contradictory. Some say poplar body, other say adler.

    Thanks

IIRC the woods were the same but the quality of the wood was lesser on the Korean ones. So was the fit and finish.

Poplar and alder sound pretty similar anyway.

            Im guessin:
            Body: poplar/aLDer
            Neck: Maple?
Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood? India is right around the corner over there
            PUs: Standard jackson humbuckers
            Bridge: ? Standard Jackson ? Something 500?

I got one Korean in 96, trying to figure out if its worht spending my money on it or to buy a new guitar.

              Alder body
              JT-500 trem when floyded
Maple neck w/ indian rosewood board
              Jackson pickups

The specs were AFAIK identical, but the dots were spaced much farther apart on the korean ones...
