  • My First Jackson

Hey guys, just dropping a line to say hi. I just got my 1st Jackson off of the 'Bay. I paid $200 for it. It's a Stealth EX.

This is after the clean up:

I do have a question though. Can I replace the neck with a 24 fret from the current 22?

    Hi Lefty!

    That's a good price for a lefty!

Thats a cool score for sure....but sadly, you cannot simply add a 24 fret neck without some serious modification. Otherwise, it would never intonate.

That's what I figured...I will have to find a good 22 reverse shark fin neck then. The neck itself is not bad, but has some fret wear pretty bad in some places. I get some pretty bad dead spots.

Welcome to the world of Jackson/Charvel. Great buy! Are you changing the neck because you what sharkies or are you do it because of the fret wear? You should try to get a pro setup first. I pay $58 for everything.

I just got it setup and the third fret is really bad. Plus I like the shark fins.

A 22 fret reverse, with sharkies may be hard to find.

When are we having that JCF LA get-together (pool party?) at JR's place?
