The body looks like it was routed for a floyd - anyone know what kind of bridge this is sitting in there? I think I'd like to put one on my ke-3 if its interchangable.

Looks like it was filled in and a hardtail bridge put in its place. It's not interchangeable now.

I have never seen that done before. Holy jeebus.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

Paul Gilbert did that on one of his Ibanez models.

Ok my bad. This thing is definately a home job.

Now I just need to find a kit to do it myself.

Agh ... Just get a tremol-no and avoid hacking up your guitar.

I have it blocked for now. Its not the movement thing that drives me nuts its just the floyd gets in the way of my picking hand. I play a lot better on strat style bridges w/saddles for some reason.

This type of bridge on a good quality Jackson seems to be heresy in the Jackson world.

Is it an optical illusion or does that STEW MAC fixed bridge fit the trem route perfectly (minus the fine tuner section)?

Someone has built a "plate" to adapt a cheapo fixed bridge to a route designed for a trem. My only question is why the fuck someone would do that?
