  • DK2M Trem Question

    Hey guys-

I was wondering how good the trem is on the DK2M. It looks like a Floyd Rose Pro copy and i was also curious if either an Original Floyd Rose or a real Floyd Rose Pro would fit in there if there were any issues with it (im a heavy trem abuser )
    Thanks all
    -Chris

I don't own a DK2M but I can tell you the recess for it is a little larger than the recess for an OFR. I'm currently in the process of making a template for the trem off of a DK2M for a custom body and I noticed it is larger than the template I made for OFR's. So yes an OFR will fit

just a quick question: when replacing the jt580lp with an ofr, do you have to change the block, or are they identical in size?

shouldnt have to change the block...unless you get an older Floyd with the large block made to fit a non-recess guitar.
the 580 is a good trem though...i have no plans to change mine until i wear them out...now if i could just get them to flutter a bit more LOL

The 580lp on my 92 fusion H-H has never failed me in all its years. Its rock solid. I have worn out a set of trem posts .Hell the neck has had three refrets and the body is beat but the trem still works perfectly.
                  Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I'm also one of those who like the jt-580 lp... There are some really steady ones but some of them are not that good...
