Figured getting my new Jackson was a good reason for my first post. Don't have a camera, but here's the auction I picked it up on. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270032970762

I was surprised it's actually less beat up than the auction makes it out to be. As it says, it's no museum piece but I just wanted a decent backup. Any idea on the age? Serial # J001573

Welcome to the board. I believe the Kelly Standard came out in 1993. I had one of those around that time (my first Jackson) in Deep Metallic Blue... looks like the same color as the one you got. I got rid of it because I couldn't stand lo-pro trems at the time, but I probably should have kept it.

I checked EBay just as a goof to see about a sharky neck. Only found one 24 fret neck and they wanted almost twice what I paid for the guitar. I think I'll keep it as is for the time being, maybe a pup swapout if I can find some decent DiMarzios.
