Model 3A questions

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a 3A. I don't know much about them. What type of wood is used? Type of trem? I've heard the JT-6 trems are junk is this right? Can you swap them with OFR's without routing or reposting? What should I look out for? This has no pickguard.

Yup, they will. I have an OFR on my Model 6.
