J4vice, the black one (4th from left) that has a vintage trem and the more vintagey looking Jackson headstock, do you know if it has the same neck heel slope as the other JTX's with the JT580's? I swapped a Dinky Reverse neck onto my JTX body but the heels are a bit different. The JTX necks are super slim which seem thinner than some Ibanez necks....
As far as I know, the JTX necks all had the same heel, which was considerably different from the Dinky and any other neck heel in that the shape as well as how far it extended under the fretboard made it impossible to directly swap for any other Jackson neck.
I modded one to fit on other Jackson bodies that do require fretboard overhang, but to my knowledge you would have to really work the intonation to get a Dinky neck to set up properly on a JTX body.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
quote: Excellent guitar. The topcoat appears to have ggreen/blue sparkles in it, which is nice. Dunno if it came that way or if someone misted it with some color-shifting paint, but it doesn't detract from the finish.
Purple with sparkles in the topcoat is from the factory.
1. They are supposed to have some of the thinnest necks of the imports
2. When I mention that I play guitar and the person asks: "What kind do you have?"
I can say "Oh, just one of those old Telecaster kinds" and then laugh like a sinister evil person

1. I may have started the 'Thin neck' urban legend on HARMONY CENTRAL. Only one pf my thirteen JTX guitars has a noticeably thin neck. Most are comparable to any Jackson on Sam Ash's wall.
2. On HARMONY CENTRAL I posted a great review of a rare RED JTX I had acquired. That JTX wound up being possessed! I want to get rid of it. 666 is visible in the wood grain, transparent RED. When ever I played it my style switches from blues-rock to speed-metal.
I've gotten cuts playing it
