  • Jackson RR2?

Hi all. I found an almost 10 years oldie Jackson RR2.
I dind't even know Jackson had made that model.
Anyway....the seller is telling me it's a neck thru guitar, contrarily as written on the '95 Jackson Catalogue (the guitar is a '95 model).
    ....anybody knows something more?

p.s. the final question: is it a good guitar?

RR2 were bolt-on. He's either lying or it's a different model. It should also have a 22-fret blank ebony board (no inlays or binding).

You just need a close-up picture to see what's written on the truss-rod cover. My guess is a ps-3t One of the performer series jackson, built in japan

Edit: My bad, if that's a neck-thru that can't be a performer, probably a rhoads std. just like pebber said

Right. RR2 were USA bolt on Rhoads w/ chrome hardware, a JT-580 trem, painted logo, and, coolest of all, a blank ebony fretboard w/ 22 frets. Made in '96 & '97

That RR2 seems to be a great guitar. I wonder how much is the loose of sustain due to bolt-on + ebony fingerboard....

What about the Randy STD ? How does it sound?

as long as the joint neck <--> body is firmly in place, I'm pretty sure you can't tell the difference..

The STD is fine. I have one. JT580LP, neck-through (three piece neck), dots on a Rosewood board.

I thought the RR2 had black binding.
