LOL I totally agree! This one little change would do so much for Jackson besides the sales. Attention to little details is always a plus!

Wasn't there some sort of complication to get MOP products produced abroad into the USA? I remember one JCF member who had problems getting a Jackson guitar (a USA Select, no less) in from Mexico, and it got stuck in US customs because of the MOP. Maybe JCMI had similar problems with the imports and decided to take an easier route...?

In any case, I'm with ya all the way; the MOTO looks terrible. That and no binding on the Pro models are two big mistakes IMO.

Never seemed to be a problem with all the mid-late 80's Charvels and early 90's Professional series. I think its just a way to cut corners... they just dont realize how much it really does hurt them unfortunatley.

Hell, if they would just use a trem the same SHAPE as the OFR Id be happy... just so I can slap a real OFR in there if I wanted to and not have it look like crap. Even the old Schaller style rout would be great, an OFR fits in there prefectly if you mill down the locking bolts a bit... I did it and it looks great!

That was Joel, and that was some douche in Kentucky making up stories about the MOP inlays posing potential hazard to the local water-life - probably just graduated the local Fish-N-Game class and wanted to impress the slut behind the counter with his Barney-Fife-mastery of local regulations.

I asked my local UPS clerk about it and she said it's not anything she's ever heard of, and she's been there for years.

Besides, why aren't ESPee and Ibenhad or even Agile fer cryin out loud having trouble getting theirs through customs?
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Yeah, that's what I thought was odd. Good to hear it was an isolated occurance.

Why not just get rid of the inlays altogether?

Actually, that would be a nice solution. Or at least use really small inlays (like the pirahna teeth), if they have to use MOTO.

Bleah! That'd be worse than no inlays!

Funny you mention that, I put a DK2 neck on my DKMG and thought it looked awesome. I eventually swapped it back because the original neck just felt better on this particular guitar.
