        Kidding aside, I think it's mostly the bridge height. With a taller bridge, my hand ends up in a nicer playing position when the guitar is strapped on. This might just be a psychological difference, but sometimes I feel like a recessed bridge makes for a less than stellar angle for my wrist.

        Plus, I think it makes sense that Floyds and fixed bridges should have the same height off the body to minimize the difference in playing posture.
