  • Is this a DX model

I got this guitar super cheap off of E-bay for $160 shipped with a set of Duncan '59's in it. I've since put the Duncans in my ESP and now it has a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and a Dimarzio in the neck. I'm pretty sure it's a DX model but I haven't been able to nail down exactly what model it is or the year of build. SER. # 01060641

The Red dots in the pictures is the "red eye" eliminator on my camera.

And I guess just for shits and giggles here's my other Jackson at the moment. I also currently have an ESP Hammett model and an '87 USA Fender HM Strat.

'95 ( I believe) Dinky Reverse SER# 401846, (this has the actual Maple top, not the gravure top as far as I can tell), with a set of Jeff Beck Duncans in it. I bought it brand new and this poor guitar has been to hell and back several times. It's been thrown at my singer, landed on when I fell off the stage once or twice or more, and just banged around for the past 12 years. It's still going strong and is still my main axe. I'm hoping to pick another one or two of these up as I find them on the web.

    1st guitar is a DX6, made in India, probably a 2001.

LOL, great, I was hoping it was at least Japanese. For an Indian model it's holding up really well. Oh well, as long as I sell it for more than $20 I'm making a profit. Ha ha.

I even looked through the catolog scans but I completely overlooked this model in with the others.

Very nice DX6 you have there. I thought I got a good buy on mine for $185 shipped in OHSC. You did very well! I hope it plays and sounds as good as mine does.

The made in India guitars have non-recessed cover plates
                    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The 12th fret dots also indicate Indian manufacture.

If you remove the cover is the actual cavity a lot smaller than the cover? If it is only like half the size, I think this indicates MII as well. If thats cedro it has some nice looking grain.

The cavity is almost the same size as the cover.
