The lower cost Ibanez guitars tend to have those Edge 3 or something trems. They're much worse than even the old JT580LPs, which are also scrap metal but at least manage to hold tune after a divebomb. 
The pickups in the DK2M are also way superior, but if you do want to go Ibanez you should try eBay for an older 5xx series RG with a maple board.. I think there was a model, but try www.jemsite.com for reference on RGs.
Getting a new DK2M, maybe switching pickups if need be, is probably not only the path of least resistance but also the best one.
