  • Question about the stock Dinky EX pups

Okay, so I know they're the Jackson J-55's in the bridge and neck, but what i'm not sure of is if they all came branded with the Jackson logo. I bought a Dinky EX off eBay not too long ago that came with these crazy high-output pups, and the guy who sold it to me claimed it was "all stock". I searched it up on the catalogue scans, and sure enough, the bridge + neck pup have the Jackson logo on them. Mine didn't [Yet my middle single-coil did]. What's the deal here?

    Thanks,
    -Paul

I'm not the biggest expert, but my 87 Model 6, my Kelly STD, and my RR EX all have the Jackson logo on the pups that I haven't replaced. How are you sure they are J-55s? Have you taken them out and checked the back of them? Most pups I've seen have some sort of ID on the back. I think the guy who said it was "all stock" might not have known what he had.

I don't know if they're J-55s, that's my question. I'm just wondering if maybe there was a small batch or something similar that had unmarked pickups. I'm just saying that the Dinky EX came stock with J-55s. Thanks for the input, Glave.
